1.Who we are

Freta is a guitar learning app made by Panvoir ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Freta app and related services (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

2.Information stored on your device

Almost everything Freta knows about your guitar journey stays on your device and is never uploaded to our servers:

• Your lesson progress, unlocked chords, and completed drills;
• Practice history, session logs, and transition best times;
• Streaks, XP, and rank;
• Custom routines you create;
• Your in-app settings and preferences (like your display name, if you set one).

Because this data is local, deleting the app deletes it too. You can also erase it any time from within the app.

3.Usage analytics we collect

We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how Freta is used in aggregate — for example, which lessons people start, which screens they visit, and where they get stuck. This helps us decide what to fix and build next. The analytics data we receive includes things like:

• Events (e.g., "lesson started," "drill completed," "screen viewed");
• General device information (device model, OS version, app version, language, and country-level region);
• Anonymous identifiers generated by Firebase (not your name, email, or phone number).

We do not use analytics data to identify you personally, and we do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone audio. Firebase's processing of this data is described in Google's Firebase Privacy documentation.

4.Purchases

Freta Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We never see or store your name, billing address, or payment card details. We only receive anonymized transaction information (like whether a subscription is active) so the app can unlock your Pro features. Apple's handling of your payment data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

We use the limited information we collect to:

• Operate the app and unlock features you've purchased;
• Understand which features are used and improve lessons, drills, and the app experience;
• Diagnose crashes and fix bugs;
• Comply with legal obligations.

7.Sharing of information

We share information only with the service providers that make Freta work:

• Google (Firebase Analytics) — anonymous usage analytics, as described above;
• Apple — subscription and purchase processing.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public. If Panvoir is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, and this policy will continue to apply.

8.Data retention & deletion

• On-device data: kept until you erase it in the app or delete the app.
• Analytics data: retained by Firebase according to its standard retention settings (up to 14 months) and then automatically deleted.

You can reset your local data and progress from the app's settings at any time. If you'd like help with anything data-related, email us and we'll sort it out.

9.Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Because Freta keeps almost all data on your device, most of these rights are literally in your hands — but if you have any request or question, contact us and we will help.

10.Children's privacy

Freta is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11.Security

Your practice data never leaves your device, which is the best security there is. For the analytics data that is collected, we rely on the industry-standard safeguards of our providers (Google and Apple), including encryption in transit.

12.International transfers

Analytics data may be processed on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Our providers use recognized safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.

13.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Freta after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
